Targeting Tobacco

Targeting Tobacco is a six-week tobacco cessation wellness coaching program customized to target the triggers that send you back to tobacco use.

This program combines the American Cancer Society Freshstart program and the Cooper - Clayton Method to Stopping Smoking.

  • It meets weekly for five sessions.
  • This program emphasizes use of nicotine replacement or pharmacological treatment with the use of support group.
  • Research indicates that the use of the support group increases the chance of quitting tobacco by 40 percent.
  • Facilitators have been trained in evaluating smoking patterns, introducing behavior modification techniques, leading group discussions and minimizing relapse.
  • The single most important element in the program is you – and your dedication to fight the addiction to nicotine that makes you want to smoke.
  • Additional materials may be incorporated to meet individual needs.
